About Clare
Clare S. Roubion
Clare Roubion is an experienced lawyer whose practice focuses on legal ethics, professional responsibility, lawyer discipline, judicial conduct, legal malpractice, lawyer disqualification motions, and lawyer fee disputes. She provides specialized legal representation and strategic counsel to lawyers, judges, law firms, and legal professionals navigating complex ethical and professional responsibility matters.
Clare represents clients before the Louisiana Supreme Court, the Louisiana Attorney Disciplinary Board, and the Louisiana Judiciary Commission. She advises lawyers and law firms on disciplinary proceedings, ethics issues, conflicts of interest, law firm risk management, and professional responsibility questions, providing practical guidance and strategic solutions tailored to the unique challenges of the legal profession. She is licensed to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts.
Prior to opening her own practice, Clare practiced with Louisiana Legal Ethics, LLC, where she represented lawyers, judges, and law firms in disciplinary proceedings, ethics matters, legal malpractice litigation, fee disputes, and other professional responsibility matters. Earlier in her career, she served as a public defender for the Fifteenth Judicial District Court in Lafayette, Louisiana, and as the Research and Writing Lawyer for the Office of the Federal Public Defender for the Middle and Western District of Louisiana. These positions provided extensive experience in legal research, persuasive writing, and appellate advocacy, which continue to serve as the foundation of her practice.
In addition to her practice, Clare is a frequent lecturer on legal ethics and professional responsibility. She regularly presents continuing legal education programs for lawyers on topics including legal ethics, malpractice avoidance, conflicts of interest, law practice management, and emerging issues affecting the legal profession. Through both her presentations and her practice, she is committed to helping lawyers navigate complex ethical issues with practical, thoughtful guidance.
Clare is a graduate of Louisiana State University, where she earned her undergraduate degree cum laude in 2011, and Louisiana State University Law Center, where she earned her Juris Doctor magna cum laude in 2014. While in law school, she was inducted into the Order of the Coif and served on the LSU Law Review.
Clare lives in Lafayette, Louisiana, with her husband, Ross, and their three children, Roy, Gus, and Rosie.
